Overall, we have found three possible solutions. In our case the first method was successful, but some users reported, that more steps are necessary. These steps you can find in Method 1 and Method 2.

Method 1: Remove battery and do a soft reset

If the error message “TouchWiz Home has stopped” appears on your Galaxy Note 4, Note 3, Galaxy S5 or S4, you should try the following steps.

  1. Remove the battery from your smartphone, when the phone is still on.
  2. After that, press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.
  3. Put the battery back in after 30 seconds and turn your smartphone on.

As a result, the entire power is drawn from the capacitors. Whatever the reason is, this step has fixed the problem for us.

Method 2: Empty the cache of the app, in which the problem occurs

Example: If the error message “Unfortunately TouchWiz Home has stopped” appear in the Contacts app, you should empty the cache of the app. Go in the Settings, Apps and search for the App. Open the entry and “Clear cache” and “Clear data”.

  1. Start your phone and open the settings.

Method 3: Activate the Easy mode

  1. If the error message appears, try to dismiss it and open the Android Settings.
